Chez Cora!

One place that reminds me of my time in Montreal is Chez Cora and as a student -it was a great value as you would get a free fruit smoothie when you showed them your student card and always a good place to get le petit dejeuner!

The atmosphere in the restaurant is bright and sunny as even Cora's logo is a smiling sunshine! And the menu is huge displaying many selections with attractive pictures- from just fruit plates to crepes, omlettes and different types of combo breakfasts between hearty and healthy choices. We decide to go there on a Wednesday morning for breakfast and it's relatively busy when we arrive at 8:30am - on the weekends- be warned as there are line ups outside the door.
I attempt to order the apple and maple crepe special but am told by the server that they are not serving this at the current time because Cora has stepped in and wanted to ensure quality control on this as the dish was not up to par so I settled on the brie and mushroom eggs benny.
My collegue Carly had the crunchy crepes and Bob went for a hearty "sunshine" breakfast sandwich. Carly's crepes came stuffed with cream chese, honey, banana and museli in whole wheat crepe with plain yogurt- a vey healthy option. My dish came with a side serving of potatos which were seasoned well. They all came piled high with fruit and the portions were similiar to what you would get in the US as they were HUGE!
Everybody seemed to enjoy their breakfast very much and I would recommend it as a great way to start your morning off!
