There was a big group of us and there was something for everyone there! The menu is extensive filled with your typical breakfast spread from lemon ricotta pancakes (a house specialty), to omelets, benedicts and even porridge! The sides that were offered were also indulgent such as the Chicken & Apple Breakfast Sausage & Three Pepper Home Fried Potatoes!
Portion size and price were big though - so you better be hungry and invested when you come to the restaurant as you will be stuffed and it's definitely not the cheapest place to go in town.
Here are some of the items our group ordered:
I had the cheese blintzs served with sour creme and apple butter. They were delicious filled with lightly sweetened soft cheese which was fluffy and so tasty.
There were a ton of omletes that were ordered around the table - some were customized to taste using egg whites and key ingredients and others were classics on the menu such as the Farmer's omlettes- with leeks, potatos and gyuere; the 'red' omlette- a chunky filling of tomato, red pepper, cheddar and a dollop of sour cream with chives and to dishes that featured eggs such as the 'pop eye' which was scrambled eggs on an English muffin with Black Forest ham and sautéed spinach.
The presentation of each dish was very attractive and appetizing and it was truly a great brunching experience with the group! Service was attentive and accommodating and friendly enough!
It is definitely one of those places you must try when you're in NY but perhaps you're not a frequent flyer because it can be pricy and the wait to get in is long without a reservation.
