It was a good thing
Show stoppers for brunch included:
- Warm doughnuts w/ caramel dunking sauce - they melted in your mouth as you were savouring their pillowy texture(save the extra caramel for your other plates, sort of a fatty move, but so delicious)
-Warm banana walnut bread w/ cinnamon butter- it came out in a loaf and it was warm and delicious! Everybody was fighting to get a taste!
- The French onion soup dumplings - we didn't even order these but the waiter insisted that we try and brought them out on the house and they were sooo good. The service was very attentive and took note that I was a blogger! Served in a typical french onion soup bowl with little pockets for the dumplings which were juicy, cheesy, oniony and soooo ridiculously delicious- they popped in your mouth!
- The croque monsieur satays- although only four came on a plate- they were savoury and sooo delicious - they were skewers of little square croque monseiurs sandwiches... country ham between crusty bread, melted cheese .. they were crunchy, savoury and pure decadent goodness.
Other things that we had were the red snapper tacos - they were very fresh and good; the potato latkas with their apple sauce - really crispy and good, we ordered 2 plates because we finished them so fast! The hueveo ranchero soft tacos were also very good - only 4 came on the plate with a dipping sauce. They were filled with scrambled eggs, guacamole and fresh salsa.
Despite the portion sizes of the plates, we all were full by the end because my problem as always is my eyes are bigger than my stomach and I ended up ordering the right amount for the group. We had a terrific time catching up, it was a fun atmosphere and I would definitely go back with a gang to chill, have some tapas and enjoy!
