Staples at One of a Kind Pasta

This is my boss' favorite restaurant and his constant 'go to' restaurant for team lunches hence I have been there several times as a result.
The decor is modest and even gets lost in the hubbub of artsy Queen West as it's very under stated and the sign on the outside looks like it's calling an antique shop out more than an Italian restaurant.  When you walk in past the heavy velvet curtains, you are greeted to a homey restaurant filled with dark wood and very intimate lighting.  There are less than 30 seats in this restaurant so if you are coming with a big group, you should think about reserving a table.

This is the place you come for pasta, pasta and more pasta.  With 30 varieties of dishes and specialty pastas like squid ink or jalepeno linguine round out the menu.  Also there are certain standout dish names like the 'Pink Lady' which is a pasta with tomato creme sauce and mushrooms, asparagus and shrimp to Bianco & Negro which is described as a Zebra linguine pasta with mixed seafood in a lobster sauce.  Everything is well cooked and comes with a basket of perfect garlic bread!
This lunch - I ordered the "pasta a Gi Gi" - which is a huge portion of perfectly cooked penne that seasoned with a salty porchiutto in a red wine sauce.  I finished every bite and was stuffed!
My colleagues order a variety of pastas from traditional pomodoro to cheese tortelini  with creme sauce.  Every plate is perfectly al dente pasta with great seasoning and flavour.  One colleague ordered the lobster bisque as an appetizer and it came with a huge lobster tail and was velvety and exactly what he wanted!
This is a great place for a hearty Italian pasta meal for a reasonable price and if you feel like staying at home- they do great take out and delivery as well!
